Music documentaries #8: Dee Snider & Twisted sister, my housegods!

My housegods, Twisted Sister has been with since i was about 7 or so, and Dee Snider in particular. nice Heavy Metal, if you arc an eyebrow and wonder why i say that you´ve probably just heard the 2 songs most people know them by, We´re not gonna take it and I wanna rock. many times I´ve heard the expression kindergarten rock when i say i like ´em, but when i ask them what they heard of ´em it´s just the 2 songs named above. I get pretty tired of it

TS has a number of albums with very different sounds, wich i like. you have a bit of everything there. Dee Snider had to defen his music foremost and Heavy Metal in general in a senate hearing in the 80´s, where Pmrc (with tipper gore in the lead) were involved, it lead to the famous explicit lyrics sticker.

Dee snider was involved in projects here and there after TS laid their guitars on the shelves, One of them were desperado with among others ex-maiden drummer Clive Burr, but the record was stopped just before release, it was released 16 years later in 2006. he toured under the name Dee Snider´s S.M.F with the TS songbook.

In 1998 he realesed the film Strangeland, I like it alot. it´s not even a B-movie but it has it moments, its based on an old twisted hit.

the song will be a swedish band that mixes metal and techno
