Music #6: clutch, heavy groove on a stick!

Clutch official site

Clutch! this band is one of my favourites and streams from my speakers frequently.  For me this band is "Heavy groove" (here in sweden we have a term called "tunggung" about music with a certain vibe to it, so i translated it, if someone has a better term, please feel free to add it in a comment).

Clutch was formen in 1990 in Germantown, maryland (love the name of the town). they released their first album in ´93, transnational speedway league: anthems, anecdotes and undeniable truths, and up to this date they released 9 albums. the band fuses together a distinct and own sound by mixing metal, hard rock and punk into a cauldron and spice it with funk and blues.

the 27th of november they played at trägår'n in gothenburg and i was there, Niel Fallon was in a very good mood. He ran around on the stage like a pastor preaching his gospel to his parish, and how the parish responden. the public was in extasy and couldn´t stand still. you could tell that the band enjoyed themselves. they had a keybordist join them half of the gig.

when gems like the regulator and cypress grove was played the public just fired up on all cylinders and the new stuff was also damn good. electric worry and the mob goes wild was the best songs in the gig this night, can´t wait till the next time i get to see ´em.

this is a cover of a swedish artist named dilba, and its a metalband from gothenburg

Evergrey - I´m sorry
