Music documentaries #2: Suicide Trial in the 80`s

well, Time to forge the heavy metal while the iron is hot, yeah i know it´s cheezy ;-). here comes another documentary with Judas Priest in the center this time it´s about the trial held against them in the 80´s where the parents of two youths attempting to comit suicide. one succeded and the other survived, the parents blamed the music and accused it of having sublime messages in it to lure the listener to commit suicide.

Ehrm, if i could infuse music with sublime messages it would be buy horrendous amounts of copies of this record. not to kill of potential consumers. this is a fine example of moral panic, the same that has been going on since the 50´s when Elvis hips were to dangerous to be displayed on TV. we´ve heard it countless of times about videoviolence, videogames, roleplaying and you name it.

Heavy Metal will be and has been in the firering line of "fundamental christians" and moral panicists since the rise of the metal genre. It´s easy to blame problems on something else instead rather than dealing with them.
so enjoy this one, couldn´t find a complete version thou.

here is another new experience, like the sharpness to the voice, and the oldschool 80´s metalquality t her voice
